Reese Vannerson, born in 2005 in Sugar Land, Texas, is one of the sports up and coming stars. He began racing at the age of eight and steadily developed through local and national circuits, building a strong athletic base across swimming, track, and cross country.

During his high school years at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory, he established himself as a top-level runner, winning state championships in the 1600m and 3200m events. His background in endurance sports and strong mental focus helped pave the way for his seamless transition to the international triathlon stage.

In 2024, Vannerson made a major breakthrough by winning silver at the World Junior Championships in Torremolinos and claiming victories at the Americas Triathlon Cups in La Paz and Miami. These results signaled his ability to compete at the highest level, even at a young age.

He built on that success in 2025 with a standout win at the World Triathlon Cup in Chengdu—his first victory over the Olympic distance. Additional top-five finishes in Napier and Samarkand underscored his consistency and maturity, and his performances propelled him into the top tier of global rankings.

Training with USA Triathlon’s Project Podium, Vannerson remains focused on long-term progression and gaining valuable international experience. Known for his smooth and powerful run, calm race demeanor, and ability to execute under pressure, he is widely viewed as a future star.

With his sights set on the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, Vannerson continues to refine his craft, combining physical talent with a disciplined, forward-thinking approach to his development.
