Connor Bentley is considered one of the brightest young male talents coming out of the successful British Triathlon programme.
Bentley made a name for himself as a junior in 2018 when he burst onto the internal scene in quite some fashion, securing both individual and mixed relay gold medals at the ETU Triathlon Youth European Championships.
Another athlete like Alex Yee famed for his running, the Crewe born triathlete has found his explosive power a huge advantage in the senior ranks.
In 2021, Bentley collected a silver at the National Sprint Triathlon Championships before third place in the under-23 European Championships.
Bentley also raced in the senior ranks in 2021, anchoring the British mixed relay team at WTCS Hamburg, where they finished sixth.
In the same year he also bagged a first senior podium with second at the European Cup race in Barcelona.
Bentley became British champion in 2022 and used that as a real launchpad the following year.
He was in tremendous form, taking gold at the European Cup event in Olsztyn and picking up a silver medal as part of the GB relay team at the European Games.
He then followed that up with arguably his most impressive result to date as he became under-23 World Champion.
Bentley has had a fleeting taste of supertri action, finishing 13th in London in 2023, and now faces a real baptism of fire as a permanent member of Brownlee Racing in 2024.
