McQueen: The Redemption Story
The USA’s Chase McQueen stormed to victory at the supertri E World Triathlon Championships powered by Zwift in London to put behind him the nightmare of his 2023 collapse in the capital.
The 26-year-old’s advantage was nine seconds over the home favourite Max Stapley, with France’s Maxime Hueber-Moosbrugger taking bronze.
Beth Potter Is World Champion Again
British triathlon star Beth Potter has been crowned the the supertri E World Triathlon Champion powered by Zwift after an epic battle with French racer Cassandre Beaugrand in London.
The two athletes were largely inseparable throughout the first eight triathlon disciplines, with Potter finally breaking Beaugrand’s resolve with 500m to go of the final run leg in front of a raucous home crowd at the London Aquatics Centre in Queen Elizabeth Park.

Athletes race in sold out arenas, swimming in Olympic pools while the bike and run disciplines are completed on smart trainers and self-powered curved treadmills with the power and speed of the athletes turned into a virtual race.
The TV broadcast brings together the best of all these elements to produce a captivating event, with in-your-face cameras bringing you closer than ever to the athletes and an enclosed environment showing their effort and raw suffering like never before.
supertri E World Triathlon Championship powered by Zwift will take place at the London Aquatic Centre at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on April 13, 2024.
The World Championship will consist of both heats and finals.
Athletes will need to qualify for the final via a heat which will consist of 2 Stages (Swim – Bike – Run / Swim – Bike – Run). The second stage will be held in a pursuit format. Athletes will start in reverse order of their result in stage 1. The athlete with the fastest time will start first, every other athlete will follow with a time gap as per the result of stage 1.
Just 10 athletes from the heats will progress to the final. The final will consist of 3 Stages over Super League’s unique Arena Games Triathlon format (Swim – Bike – Run // Run – Bike – Swim // Swim – Bike – Run).
The competition times for each athlete will be added from the 1st and the 2nd stage. Pursuit starts for the last stage based on the time difference accumulated across the first two stages. The athlete with the fastest time, will start first.
Swim: 200km, Bike: 4km, Run: 1km
Drafting will be disabled in all events.
Up to 30 female and 30 male athletes will compete at the supertri E World Championship powered by Zwift, with just 10 of each gender making it through the heats in the morning and into the finals in the evening.
Official athlete start lists will be announced in the run-up to each event and confirmed in the week of the event.
Yes, the Pros will be racing for cash to add extra incentive to race at full throttle throughout. However, there is not only money at stake, as supertri E crowns the official triathlon esports World Champions in partnership with World Triathlon.
The winners of the World Championship titles events will each receive $7,500. All athletes reaching the final of any event will earn prize money.
Yes, the supertri E World Championship powered by Zwift offers athletes the opportunity to earn World Triathlon ranking points. 500 points are available for the winners. World Triathlon rules apply and dictate the roll down from there,

There is no bag storage. Only small bags which can fit within the footprint of your allocated seat will be permitted. There will be security bag checks on entrance to the venue and we actively encourage people not to bring a bag unless absolutely necessary.
Yes. There is child pricing available. Please note: There is a no buggy or pushchair policy at the venue as there is nowhere to store these items. Children 2 and over will need to have their own ticket.
