Yee and Beaugrand return to action fresh off Olympic Triumphs | Athletes To watch

Alex Yee (Great Britain)
Yee has had an extraordinary 2024, crowned by his individual gold medal win at the Paris Olympics which was then followed up with Bronze in the team relay. His performance in Paris was a masterclass in pacing and strategic racing, particularly in the run, where he surged past Hayden Wilde in the dying moments to secure victory. Just before his glory in Paris Yee picked up wins at the Europe Triathlon Cup in Kitzbuhel and in Cagliari at a WTCS race. His consistency, combined with his ability to execute when it matters most, makes him one of the favourites to win in Boston.

Cassandre Beaugrand (France)
Beaugrand made history at the Paris Olympics by winning gold in the women's individual triathlon, marking a significant milestone for French triathlon. Her victory was a culmination of a stellar season that also saw her win the European Championship in Madrid and finish consistently on the podium in the WTCS. Beaugrand's strength lies in her versatility—she is a strong swimmer, powerful cyclist, and exceptional runner.

Beth Potter (Great Britain)
Potter’s journey from track athlete to triathlon star reached new heights in 2024. She secured a bronze medal in Paris, adding to her supertri E World Triathlon Championship title she won earlier in the season. Potter has shown tremendous improvement in the swim and bike segments, which, combined with her outstanding running background, makes her a formidable competitor. She trains in Leeds, alongside some of the best triathletes in the world, where she focuses on fine-tuning her all-around abilities. Potter is one to watch in Boston as she continues to rise through the ranks.

Hayden Wilde (New Zealand)
Wilde, known as "The Falcon," has had an outstanding 2024 season, highlighted by his silver medal in the men's individual triathlon at the Paris Olympics. His aggressive and dynamic racing style, especially on the bike, has earned him a reputation as one of the sport's most exciting athletes. He also has 6 supertri race wins and 11 podiums to his name as well as the overall title that he won in 2022. Wilde is always there or their abouts in supertri racing so expect him to be battling for the win in Boston.
