Supertri League to Launch 2025 League Season in Toronto With First-Ever Canadian Race
Supertri, the global leader in short-course triathlon, is expanding its global footprint with the confirmation that the Toronto Triathlon Festival will host the opening race of the 2025 Supertri League season on July 26th, 2025. This milestone marks the first time a Supertri League event will take place in Canada, welcoming the world’s best triathletes and Olympic stars to Toronto for a high-octane start to the new season.
The event will take place as part of Supertri’s first year running the Toronto Triathlon Festival, bringing Supertri’s world-class athletes and high-intensity race format to the heart of the city for the first time. Known for redefining the sport with its fast, technical, and spectator-friendly racing, the Supertri League will kick off its 2025 season on the streets and waterfront of downtown Toronto, setting the stage for a thrilling global series.

The Toronto Triathlon Festival, held annually since 2012, is a celebrated event that transforms the city into a triathlon playground, featuring a 1.5K swim in the sheltered waters of Ontario Place, a 40K bike course on closed highways, and a 10K run along Lake Shore Boulevard and the Gardiner Expressway. Now, for the first time under the By Supertri brand, the festival will also play host to a Supertri League professional race - bringing together elite and everyday athletes on the same weekend with the pros racing on Saturday and the amateurs on Sunday, and raising the bar for triathlon in Canada. For the first time, Supertri will bring Olympians to Canada to kick off their 2025 Supertri League and race to win points for the individual and team titles.

Supertri League is known for its innovative formats, team-based competition, and broadcast-ready storytelling, attracting the world’s top short-course triathletes and captivating fans globally. The Toronto race will be the first of several League events in the 2025 calendar, with further race locations to be announced soon.
