LONDON, UK, 5TH JUNE – Supertri will make an emotional return home to Jersey this year, bringing its world-class Supertri League race back to the island on Sunday 21st September.

Renowned for its electric atmosphere, community support and dramatic coastal setting, Jersey has long been one of the standout destinations on the Supertri calendar and will become the first ever city to host five Supertri League events.

Jersey was the first venue to host a full Supertri event back in 2017, and hosted further events in 2018, 2019, and the COVID delayed 2021 event that concluded its former contract. Now Supertri League is back and promises to build on that legacy, delivering an unforgettable sporting spectacle while continuing to drive meaningful impact for the island.

Supertri co-founder and CEO Michael D’Hulst said: “Jersey has always been one of the most iconic stops on the Supertri League calendar, and a place we have always considered to be our spiritual home. The racing is world-class, the backdrop is stunning, and the community is truly invested. It really is a very special place not only for Supertri but for triathlon in general, where people recognize the effort you put in and repay that with incredible support. We’re thrilled to return in 2025 and to continue working in partnership with the Government of Jersey to promote healthier, more active lifestyles while showcasing the island on a global stage.”

The return of Supertri aligns with Jersey’s ‘Inspiring an Active Jersey (2020-2030)’, which aims to create a healthier, more productive and fairer society by becoming one of the most physically active populations in the world. In previous years, the event increased junior triathlon club membership by 3.5 times and earned the pride of the island - 84% of Jersey residents surveyed in 2019 said they were proud to host Supertri.

The Minister for Sustainable Economic Development, Deputy Kirsten Morel said: “Supertri was a great success when it previously came to the Island and we’re excited to have Jersey hosting the event again in 2025.

“Support from the private sector has been key to bringing Supertri to Jersey this year, and the event complements our work to strengthen Jersey’s global reputation. We’re encouraged by the community’s participation, and the prospect of having Jersey placed alongside major global cities as a trusted venue for international sports events.”

Details on athlete line-ups, community engagement activities and the full race weekend programme will be announced in the coming months.
