Chase McQueen Returns to Defend Supertri E Title in London
Reigning Supertri E World Triathlon Champion Chase McQueen is returning to defend his title at the London Aquatics Centre on Saturday, April 5.
American star McQueen took the title in a dramatic redemption story in 2024, returning to the same venue where he swam butterfly during the finals of Supertri E the previous year.
McQueen is somewhat of a Supertri E expert, having not only won the World Championship title but also the Montreal event in 2023, and is hoping that he leaves London with the trophy again this year.
He said: “I’m thrilled to be racing in Supertri E again this year and defending my title in London. It’s always an incredible experience to race in such an iconic city, surrounded by passionate fans and top level competition. Supertri E, along with the outdoor season, has brought some of my best (and worst) moments / memories as an athlete. Winning last year was a huge achievement for me, and I’m motivated to try and do it again this year. I can’t wait to get back to London!”
Olympic champion, Cassandre Beaugrand, was announced to take part yesterday and further athletes will be confirmed soon.
In what will be its sixth year, Supertri E continues to redefine the boundaries of endurance sport, fusing the worlds of real life and virtual racing. Powered by MyWhoosh, for the first time, the event showcases cutting-edge technology and fierce competition, captivating both triathlon enthusiasts and Esports fans alike.
The 2025 Supertri E World Triathlon Championship is the future of triathlon and hopes to inspire the next generation of triathlon fans and athletes with tickets on sale now.
