supertri League heads to London for the third leg of the 2024 series. After an electric couple of weeksn in America we turn our attention to Englands capital. In the area? Here are some of out top suggestions for things to do if you're in East London.

WATCH THE RACE

The first thing to do is to watch supertri London!

supertri makes a fourth visit to West India Quay as the iconic London backdrop sets the scene for the first leg of the European swing of the 2024 League calendar.

Thousands of fans are expected to line the streets around West India Quay to get a glimpse of the world best triathletes battle it out on an iconic course.

Travel Information

We advise all visitors to supertri London travelling via public transport to use either:

  • Jubilee Line to Canary Wharf

  • Elizabeth Line to Canary Wharf

  • Bus services - 135, 277, D7, D3 services all run to Westferry

We strongly recommend guests arriving using the walking route to West India Quay via the North Dock pedestrian bridge from the South (Canary Wharf).

Please note that DLR services are suspended between Bank and Tower Gateway to Canning Town and Lewisham, Stratford to Canary Wharf. This means that there are no services to West India Quay DLR station.

WHERE TO RUN

Victoria Park: Victoria Park, often referred to as the "People's Park," is one of London’s most popular running spots. The park features wide, flat paths that encircle two large lakes and pass through beautifully landscaped gardens. You can follow a 5k loop around the perimeter, which offers a mix of open grassy areas and shaded, tree-lined paths.

Hackney Marshes: Hackney Marshes provides an excellent escape from the city’s bustle with its vast open fields and tranquil riverside paths.

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park: Running through Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park offers a unique experience of combining modern architecture with green spaces. The park’s well-maintained paths wind past iconic structures like the London Stadium, the ArcelorMittal Orbit, and the Aquatics Centre.

WhERE TO RIDE

Regent's Canal Towpath: The Regent's Canal Towpath is a scenic and peaceful cycling route that stretches from Limehouse in the east to Paddington in the west. The path runs alongside the canal, offering cyclists beautiful views of the water, narrowboats, and the surrounding urban landscapes.

Lee Valley: The Lee Valley offers an extensive network of cycling paths that run through a series of parks and nature reserves. Starting in Hackney, you can follow the Lee Navigation route north through Walthamstow Marshes, Tottenham Marshes, and beyond.

Cycle Superhighway 2 (CS2): A dedicated cycle route running from Aldgate through Whitechapel to Stratford, providing a safe and direct path through East London.
