LONDON, UK – July 15th 16:00 BST – Supertri is redefining the athlete experience once again with the launch of Supertri Segments - a brand new way for participants at By Supertri events to test themselves on key sections of the race, inspired by the dynamic, high-octane Supertri League format.

Supertri Segments recently made its debut at the Ascension Seton Austin CapTex Triathlon and will be a feature of every By Supertri race this year to give athletes the opportunity to push their limits and see how they stack up against the world’s best. Featuring a 4km (2.5 mile) bike segment and a 1.6km (1 mile) run segment, the initiative mirrors the distances raced by Supertri League pros like Olympic gold medalists Alex Yee and Cassandre Beaugrand.

“Supertri Segments allows us to bring the intensity and excitement of Supertri League to everyone,” said Michael D’hulst, Supertri Co-Founder and CEO. “Whether you're racing to beat your personal best or chasing pro-level splits, this is a race within a race - accessible, exciting, and totally unique to Supertri.”

The segments are fully integrated into the course and clearly marked, with all athletes automatically timed as they pass through each section. After the race, participants will receive their personalised segment times directly to their inbox, giving them the opportunity to compare their performance to the Supertri League athletes competing on the global stage.

The segment distances are taken directly from the globally broadcast Supertri League format, which sees the world’s top triathletes race three continuous rounds of 300m swim, 4km bike, and 1.6km run on fast, technical, spectator-friendly courses. While the swim segment isn’t currently timed, development is already underway, along with plans to integrate with Strava for By Supertri races later in the year.

Designed to inspire the competitor in everyone, Supertri Segments offers a fun, inclusive challenge - a chance for participants to compete with themselves, conquer the course, and compare their efforts to the very best in the sport.
