supertri League Calendar Delivers Two New Events In USA

supertri is expanding in North America with two new events forming part of a five-stop League that will see the world’s best athletes take on fast, technical and tactical racing just weeks after competing in the Olympics.

A US-double header will open up supertri’s stunning 2024 League, with supertri Boston and supertri Chicago taking place over back-to-back weekends in August as supertri delivers on its commitment to grow short course racing in America ahead of the LA Olympics in 2028.

Chicago Triathlon, owned and operated by supertri, is the largest urban triathlon in the United States. Hosting more than 8,500 athletes and thousands of spectators, it recently celebrated its 40th anniversary and was voted #1 Sprint Triathlon in the US by the USA Today Readers Choice awards. The supertri race in Boston will be part of the famous Boston Triathlon.

After leaving the USA, supertri will head to Europe for a fourth edition of supertri London and a third of supertri Toulouse, with their city-centre locations, cobblestones, tight and technical circuits and huge fan turnouts. The League rounds off with a final in NEOM, Saudi Arabia, where supertri continues to grow the sport.

supertri is the innovative and entertaining professional closed League format that changed the sport, delivering fast, technical and tactical racing featuring the world’s best athletes competing in teams on 1 mile stadium-like courses.

The events will all be raced in the supertri format, which sees athletes compete three continuous rounds of full gas swim-bike-run.

supertri CEO and Co-Founder, Michael D’hulst, said: “supertri has set the benchmark for triathlon and turned the passion of our founders of creating a true spectator sport into a reality. Our vision is to ‘Inspire The Competitor In Everyone’, and nobody does this better than the amazing professional athletes that will come into supertri off the back of the Olympics and be ready to go all in from the start.

“We are focussed on growth in key markets, and having two events in the USA is a significant step forward, as we visit iconic locations and also have the opportunity to truly inspire by bringing the supertri stardust to mass participation events. We can then look forward to continuing to build our established successful footprints in London, Toulouse and NEOM after several years of working hard to scale those events together with our valued partners.

“It is a very exciting time for supertri and a huge year for short course triathlon. We cannot wait to be part of the wave of momentum for truly spectator and broadcast friendly race formats that redefine the sport.”

supertri Chairman and Co-Founder Leonid Boguslavsky said: “supertri has always been driven by our desire to grow the sport and to believe that we can inspire more people to both spectate and participate in triathlon. North America and the Middle East are huge growth markets for us and we have plans and funding committed to continue to build over the long term. To use the best athletes in the world to help achieve these objectives through our compelling racing is very exciting.”
