Supertri Puts $90,000 on the Line for Triathlon Clubs and Teams in 2027

New Team Programme rewards the biggest, fastest and loudest teams at every race, with three podium places in every category
Supertri has launched its 2027 Team Programme, putting $90,000 in prizes on offer across the season for the clubs, charities, schools and companies that race and celebrate together.
The programme is Supertri's way of giving back to the sport and delivering on its mission to Inspire The Competitor in Everyone by ensuring the opportunity to win in a variety of ways that celebrates participation and not just speed.
Prizes won't only go to the quickest squads. At every Supertri race in 2027, teams can win for turning out in numbers, for racing fast and for making the most noise, with first, second and third place awarded in each category.
Three ways to win at every race
Every 2027 Supertri event will crown winners in three categories:
Largest: the team with the most athletes.
Fastest: the quickest team, scored separately for Olympic and Sprint where an event offers both distances and equalised for gender and age thanks to Supertri’s partnership with TriDot
Loudest: the team that makes the most noise on social media.
Each category awards $1,000 for first place, $750 for second and $500 for third. Events with both Olympic and Sprint have four categories and 12 podium places, worth $9,000 at a single race. Sprint-only events have three categories and nine podium places.
Michael D’hulst, Supertri Co-Founder and CEO, said: "Clubs are where most people find triathlon. They get athletes to their first start line, train alongside them all year and are the loudest voices at the finish, and this is our way of giving back to them. You don't need the fastest athletes to win. Bring the biggest team or the loudest one, and there's a podium waiting for you."
Rewards for every team that signs up
Any group that applies and completes onboarding becomes a Supertri team, from triathlon clubs to charities, schools and companies. Teams start at 10 athletes.
On top of the podium prizes, teams earn milestone rewards at each event as more of their athletes register, from dedicated team space at the venue to tents, tables and chairs for larger teams. Teams that reach their milestone 45 days before race day qualify for their on-site rewards.
Every team also gets a team hub: one place where team leaders can see their athletes, registrations and rewards in real time.
