The final qualification places for the Supertri Pro Series Final are on the line at Supertri Toronto on Sunday, July 26, as the third and final regular season round of the 2026 Supertri Pro Series heads to Canada.
With Gwen Jorgensen and Tim Hellwig winning the season opener in Austin before Great Britain's Oliver Conway and Belgium's Jolien Vermeylen took victory at Supertri Blenheim Palace, the field for the $800,000 Final in Jersey on September 6 is taking shape. Three qualification spots per gender remain, and they will be decided in Toronto this weekend.
The Supertri Pro Series race in Toronto is also a stage of Triathlon Canada's National Development Series, with Canadian elite athletes eligible for both the National Development Series podiums and Supertri's, adding another layer of competition to what is already a high-stakes morning of racing.
Canada's Tyler Mislawchuk, one of the country's most experienced and decorated professionals, headlines the men's field and will be among the leading contenders for the win. He is joined by New Zealand's Tayler Reid, Japan's Kenji Nener and Great Britain's Solomon Okrafo-Smart and Chris Perham, as well as Australia's Darcy Williams, in an international field that will provide stiff competition for the home Canadian contingent.
Also lining up is Great Britain's Jonathan Brownlee, whose name will be fresh in the memory of the triathlon world after his extraordinary Weekend Warrior record at Supertri Blenheim Palace last month. The three-time Olympic medallist completed 10 sprint-distance triathlons across a single weekend in the tight cut-offs at Blenheim, covering roughly 7.5km of swimming, 200km of cycling and 50km of running alongside thousands of amateur athletes, crossing the final finish line with his seven-month-old son Freddie in his arms.
Slovakia's Zuzana Michaličková, who finished third in Austin, returns in the women's field alongside a strong Canadian contingent that includes Kira Gupta-Baltazar, and international challengers Chelsea Webber and Mackenzie McConagha from the USA.
Regular Supertri Pro Series events are draft-legal, sprint distance races, paying prize money 10 deep to encourage athlete development. Three athletes per gender in Toronto will earn direct qualification to the Supertri Pro Series Final in Jersey on September 6, which is raced over the iconic Supertri Format.
Supertri Toronto has grown rapidly into one of Canada's premier triathlon events. This year's amateur event is on course to sell out, with registrations up 35 per cent on last year, reflecting a surge in interest in the sport across the country.
Alongside the triathlon, the popular Supertri 10KTO run event returns, giving runners and multisport athletes the chance to be part of the weekend on the same iconic course. A Corporate Challenge is also raising money for SickKids Foundation, bringing teams together in support of one of Canada's most beloved institutions. As with every Supertri event, amateur athletes race the same course as the professionals, sharing the same swim, bike course and run - including racing on the Gardiner Expressway.
The last remaining entries for Supertri 10KTO are available viathe Supertri website.
