Announcement: Toulouse Triathlon To Create Major Short Course Triathlon Race In France
supertri can today announce the launch of the Toulouse Triathlon, a new participation event for 2025 that will turn one of the most viewed professional triathlon races in the world into a weekend festival of sport accessible for all.
supertri Toulouse has established itself as a highlight of the annual triathlon calendar, bringing together the best athletes in the world to compete in the fastest, most tactical and technical racing on the planet, in front of wild French crowds who pack the city centre course.
It will get even bigger and better for 2025 as supertri adds a participation event which will take place on Sunday, October 5, the same day as the professional event.
There will be both sprint and Olympic distance race options, and the opportunity to compete and then relax and watch Olympic and World champions battle it out on one of the most spectacular courses in the sport.
supertri CEO and Co-Founder, Michael D’hulst, said: “supertri Toulouse has been a huge success, with massive crowds and a course which has produced some of the most memorable racing in triathlon. In addition, we have built a substantial community of fans in Toulouse who love the sport and love supertri. Now we are giving them the opportunity to compete themselves, be inspired to get fit and active with distances that are accessible to everyone, no matter what level they are. It will make the weekend a true festival of triathlon.”
Jean-Luc Moudenc, Mayor of Toulouse and President of Toulouse Métropole, said: “The creation of Toulouse Triathlon marks a major milestone in the development of this international event of sport and tourism for our city and for the metropolis. I am delighted that the people of Toulouse have this unique opportunity to meet the world’s best triathletes. Toulouse Triathlon is further proof of our commitment to sport for everyone. This promises to be an unmissable event on the international sports calendar, combining elite level racing and participation of the general public with the Pink City as a backdrop.”
